Mission

The men’s ministry at FBC seeks to embody and proclaim the life-giving fullness of the Gospel by bringing men together to disciple, support, and encourage one another towards spiritual growth. This takes place through the War Council, DNA groups, and quarterly events.

War Council

The Men’s War Council is an intentional discipleship community composed of men (18 years and older) who love Jesus, are committed to FBC as a spiritual family, and are open to God’s call on their lives to grow in spiritual leadership and servanthood in the home and the church.

The purpose of the War Council is intensive life-on-life discipleship, study, and spiritual growth, focused in eight key areas: Bible, spiritual formation, theology & worldview, leadership, friendship, masculinity, marriage & family, and work.

Currently, the War Council is a year-long commitment that begins each year in January.

DNA Groups

Our DNA groups (Discipleship/Nurture/Accountability) provide a venue for men to form strong bonds and deeper relationships in a smaller group context (2-4 men). Men have the opportunity to confidentially share victories, hardships, and prayer with a tight-knit band of brothers.

Quarterly Events

These may be movie nights, men’s breakfasts, or other fun activities! Our goal for these events is to provide a minimally threatening environment in which men aged 16 and older can experience gathering in the company of other men for the purpose of exposure to straightforward, actionable biblical truth. We hope to draw more men from FBC and from the community at large toward a walk of discipleship with Jesus Christ.
