Advent Fundraiser 2023

This Advent season at FBC, we will be raising funds for the two ministries outlined below. We will take a special offering for this fundraiser during the 6 PM service on Christmas Eve, but you can also donate towards this fundraiser any time between now and the end of January. If you have any questions, please contact the FBC office: (541) 447-7717,

Michael & Natalie Zinn

FBC supports the Zinns as missionaries in Israel with Chosen People Ministries. With the current conflict there, the Zinns are busier than ever with helping those in need and sharing the good news of Jesus. The first $2,000 we raise will go to them to support their efforts. To learn more about the work of Chosen People Ministries in Israel, visit their website here. If you wish to give beyond the $2,000 in our fundraiser, see below for instructions on donating directly to the Zinns.

Emanuel Christian Medical Center

The Emanuel center in Chişinău, Moldova seeks to provide medical care from a Christian foundation. Dr. Knower was able to visit them during his trip and see the work they do firsthand. We aim to raise $10,000 to support about 6 months of their new project of supplying free medical care and food to Ukrainian refugees. The video below does not include this refugee project, but it gives a good overview of the center's work in Chişinău.

An article on 11/29/23 from the Moldova Matters newsletter states the following: "Moldova has been instrumental in assisting Ukrainian refugees. As of November, over 113,000 Ukrainian refugees have settled in Moldova, with nearly a million crossing the Moldovan border since the war started in February 2022...'What Moldova has achieved is extraordinary on every level...It's remarkable how they've stepped up, opened their doors, and rushed to assist!'"
This second video gives a window into some of the specific challenges faced by the Ukrainian refugees.
